Today, on family day, we went to Big Basin Redwoods. It was a little breezy but warm and nice sunlight. We parked across Highway 1, then walked to the beach and watched some California Brown Pelicans and Western Gulls and Terns and Sandpipers and an Egret or two and a wonderful sighting of the Great Blue Heron. I love the smell of the ocean and the feel of the salty air on my face. It feels so natural, like I'm part fish or something. I'm definitly a coastal bird of a sort. Chirp chirp, eeeee eeeee, cooooh coooooh...
