What a cool hike!

This Whispy long coastal grass (does anyone know the name of this?) has soft ends that would occasionally brush my face and make me giggle inside. Just past this point we crossed a seasonal bridge across Waddel Creek. Dad tried to shake it a bit while Mom and me were crossing. Mom stopped and turned midway and laughed at Dad's whimpy attempt to scare us. We saw so many interesting flowers and plants along the way. I love this hike.

...on to the Redwoods.

Here's Mom looking slick and hydrating up before our hike into Big Basin. Already I could feel the ancient and wonderful energy dancing with anticipation of our participation. Didn't know I knew fancy words like that did ya? I hoped to find a cool colorful poster of wildflowers or bugs or trees or something at the ranger station about a mile past the trail head, but Dad forgot his wallet (as usual).

Family Day on Cali Coast

Here's all of us. The beach sooths my soul. But so do the Redwoods. So, let's go!

Sunday at Big Basin

Today, on family day, we went to Big Basin Redwoods. It was a little breezy but warm and nice sunlight. We parked across Highway 1, then walked to the beach and watched some California Brown Pelicans and Western Gulls and Terns and Sandpipers and an Egret or two and a wonderful sighting of the Great Blue Heron. I love the smell of the ocean and the feel of the salty air on my face. It feels so natural, like I'm part fish or something. I'm definitly a coastal bird of a sort. Chirp chirp, eeeee eeeee, cooooh coooooh...

Changes on the go...

So you're all probably wondering how does Mom and Dad change me when we're out and about. Well, here's how. They have a cool set-up for me in the back of the car. Sometimes Mom complains that it hurts her back to stoop over like this. Dad says she says that so that he has to change me. But recently, Mom found a new technique. She moves me length wise then she can actually sit in the back with me while she changes me. Now, Mom and Dad pick straws. The winner gets to change me! Hehehehehehehehe....

Is it time to get out already?

Okay! Who hit me with that shot of cold water! Not funny!

Hey! Did I say stop Dad!

The weather was actually really cold outside this particular day. Cold outside means cold inside. So Mom and Dad kept covering me with these freshly drenched warm wet towels while Dad kept scooping and pouring, scooping and pouring, scooping and pouring... ohhhh, how I enjoy a nice warm bath! Yep!

A day at the Spa..

Here I am chillin in my warm bath. See how relaxed I look! I love feeling the warm water run over me. Dad only stopped to take this picture, but he poured soothing streams of water over me non-stop while Mom washed me with a soft organic bamboo cloth. Ahhhhhhhhh.....

Right where I want to be...

What more can I ask for... 1 month old, beautiful weather, Mom and Dad, and a soft organic cotton blanket to snuggle with on Mom's shoulder. Life's good.

1 Month old!!!

Today I turned 31 days... 1 month old! This picture is my shock at hearing the news myself. Man, how time flies when you're having fun. So, on my 1 month birthday I got a beautiful sunny, but not to hot fall day, with birds chirping next to our front porch and Mom holding me tight. Dad is running around telling everyone it's my 1 month birthday and taking (as usual) too many pictures.

Look what Mom found...

Here, Mom found some carrots. I took a quick peak, enjoyed the orange and green colors and funny shape, then just as quickly went back to sleep. A couple times I could tell Dad was trying to coax Mom into showing my face for a picture, but I was too tired for that stuff, so I just gave a little fake cry, and they left me alone right away. All in all, I like the Farmer's Market and look forward to seeing it again.

A day at the Farmer's Market

On Sunday I went with Mom and Dad to my first Farmer's Market. I loved all the colors and commotion. As usual, when Mom has me in the Moby Wrap, I was asleep alot, but occasionally I woke up to Mom pinching and poking at tomatoes, melons, or eggplants and Dad sniffing and squeezing apples, grapes, and berries. They seem like they're in heaven around all those organic veggies and fruits and stuff. I can't wait to learn more about organic harvests.

Proud Grandparents...

Don't they look so proud... I had such a wonderful visit with them. I could feel the love and caring beaming from them. I feel so special to be loved so dearly. I can't wait to meet my two other sets of grandparents. That's three sets of grandparents. How lucky am I...

Better than Simmons Beautyrest!

Yep! I suggest one of these for every newborn! ZZZZZZZZZZ....

A week of rest on my new bed...

Although I'm awake in this picture, most of the time I was crashed out on my new bed. Grandpa P's chest was so comfortable and he was so calm that I just slept and slept and slept. Seriously, it was better than my Simmons Beautyrest crib bed, lined with my anti SIDS wrap. See my hair doo. Mom and Dad like it wild and poofy like Dad's, but Grandpa P kept slicking it down like his. I thought it was funny to see Dad get all mad about this. Hehehehehe.

Visit from G & G Pace

As hard as I looked, the only thing I saw similar about the way I look and the way Grandpa P looks is our eye brows. We both don't have any. Well, maybe also our kind hearts. Here we are outside in the back, a place I like to look around at all the green things. When I'm not sleeping that is. I'm in my favorite outfit, but the next day, Grandma P bought me a new green organic cotton outfit that's quickly becoming my new favorite outfit. I don't think I have any picture's yet to show, but soon.

I'm with the band!

I like this picture! I told Dad to take this of me cause I look so cool. This is what I'm gonna look like when I'm screaming into a microphone some of Dad's old punk rock lyrics. Note my sweet mohawk...

My family under a cypress tree

Here's my family chillin under a cypress tree, taking in warm rays, enjoying a beautiful blue sky and ocean day. Life's good for the Pace's...

Mom Me and a Cypress Tree

Mom found this great cypress tree to feed me under. It was like a private secret magical place for us. Dad was so proud of Me and Mom in our glorious spot. He said in that moment, Mom fed me in that same spot 300 years before. What ever that means...

A day at the beach...

Today I had my first breath of fresh ocean air. Mom and Dad took me to Santa Cruz for the day. We stopped at a nice spot along West Cliff Drive where there was shade to escape the hot sun. My new skin is very sensitive to the sun still, so we couldn't go down to the water yet. Next time I'm sure. Anyway, Mom held me here at this spot for a few minutes while Mom and Dad watched 2 - 3 foot sets roll in. Then, I got hungry!

Ready to shop...

Here we are. Me and Mom Mobi wrapped and ready to shop. Dad carries the bag and camera and Mom carries me. Thanks for shopping, please come again.

...and away we go.

Here's me getting loaded into the car seat. Usually, I'm sleepy so it's no big deal, and I don't fuss much. A couples times I tricked Mom and Dad and got fussy once we started going, forcing them to pull over and feed me or play with me or something. I only did this because they think once the car is moving I become hypnotized or something, so every now and again I have to remind them who's in charge.

Outing for the day...

Today Mom dressed me in my fancy colorful kimono. Our big outing for the day is a trip to the new Whole Foods Market in Cupertino. Mom and Dad love good organic food, so I know they'll be in heaven. As for me, I like new adventures, and stores are usually nice and cool, so I won't be all hot in this 100 degree weather we're having.

Mom likes to rub noses with me. Funny, Dad does too. Hey, and I've seen Mom and Dad do that a bunch too. It must be a family thing. We all seem to smile a lot when we rub noses. I wonder when my nose is gonna be as big as Mom and Dad's? Dad says he's gonna rub noses till we're both old and wrinkly. I told Dad he already is! Hehehehehe....
