Did someone say tide pools???

Only my cheeks felt cold. But the rest of my body had excitement racing thought my blood, so I was warm otherwise. What a great Family Day! I love Mom and Dad and they tell me they love me all the time.

Me and Mom searchin the tide pools

Mom looked like an angel descended from the heavens in this glorious California coastal sun light. And in this moment, I caught sight of a little crab crawling out of a pool onto the rock next to us. I thought to myself the only thing that could make this moment more magical would be for this little crab to crawl onto Mom's foot. Hahahahahaha.....

Me and Dad cruisin the tide pools

Me and Dad went to a spot with cool pools of sea life and the green sea grass. It felt good here too cause we were in the sun. "Stay right here Dad, just five more minutes..." I love the smell of the ocean air too.

Family Day at SC low tide

We decided to go to Santa Cruz for this Family Day. We knew it would be really cold so we bundled up good. We caught a perfect low tide to go exploring. We saw sea enenomies and star fishes and little crabs. Here, Dad told Mom to move back for the picture, but she said "no way, I'm already too close to the edge." Some of the rocks had green slimy sea grass on them that was real slippery. Dad slipped a bit and got his foot wet in a puddle of water! Hahahahahahahaha....

chillin with cousin Ethan...

Aunt Nicole brought Cousin Ethan around a lot to hang out with me. Even though little boys are so cute, you can see that girls are just so much more mature than boys. Or maybe it's just me. Ahahahahahahah.....

My big Uncle with the soft touch...

Here I am with Uncle Travis. Safe and warm. No chance of slipping or falling here.

Think I'll be this Wacky???

Grandma holding me and loving me. I like all the action and love in this house.

Hang in there Great G & G Garnica

And... Great Grandma and Grandpa take a turn holding all of us...

Hang in there Grandma Lawrence

Here is Grandma Lawrence with all of us. She said before our visit that this is a dream come true. I wonder if she felt that in this moment. Actually, I'm sure she did. She loves us all very much. And I love her very much.

Couch Potato? NEVER!!!

We sat here by ourselves for about three minutes; long enough for I think it must have been two hundred pictures, but then Ethan started eating my pants, I cried, and Wyatt remained petrified at the odd situation, but hey, we're baby's. We do like that.

Me, Cousins, and Uncle and Aunt

Here I am with my two cousins Wyatt and Ethan and my Uncle Travis and Aunt Nicole. Oh yeah, and Dad! Dad was so happy and excited to get together with his brother and sister and their kids. Ethan is two months older than me, and Wyatt is two months older than Ethan.

Visit to Great G & G Garnica

Grandma and Grandpa Garnica were so happy to see me. The craziness all around kind of made me a little too crazy at times. This picture shows me in one of those moments. I think they're used to screaming, crying, laughing, running, fighting, playing, kids all around...

More cousins...

Here I am with some of my cousins. Sarah, Uncle Eric's oldest little girl, well, not so little i guess, is holding me. I'm not used to all this kind of craziness. Dad says that it's like this all the time at Grandma's house. He also says a little craziness is good for everyone. I never got bored once.

Great Uncle Rocky

We were lucky to catch Dad's Uncle Rocky at home. I wonder if Uncle Rocky is having flashbacks to carrying his own little girls? He has three who are big now.

Me

Here's Me snuggly warm enjoying the brisk outdoors (waiting to go back in our wood fired warm house)...

Me and Mom

Here's Me and Mom snuggling to keep warm. The sun feels good.

Me and Dad

Here's me and Dad snuggled to keep warm.

Bundled up on a cold Sunday morning...

Brrrrrr... This morning we woke up and went for a little walk. It was cold, but we were bundled up, so we were warm. For this picture, someone said say cheese, but I thought they said "cut the cheese". I wanted to see if Mom and Dad could keep a straight smile. They did pretty good.

Day at the Green Festival

This weekend Me Mom and Dad went to the Green Festival in San Francisco. It was really cool. There was lots of colorful clothes and good smelling food and fun rhythmic music. Mom and Dad seem to get excited at every booth we stopped to look at and talk with people. By the 100th or so booth though, I was getting a little tired, I got to say. I don't know a whole lot about all this Green stuff yet, but Dad says I'll be well versed in it by 3 years old, so I can't wait. Mom says it's all good for me, so it must be. Dad says it's good for all of us, so it must be. I say sounds good, so it must be. Hahahahahahahah....

Relaxin...

My snooze continued into a crash session on the couch. I feel like I'm floating on clouds...

Whew, what a day...

After a day of smiles and sunshine, there's nothing like a snooze on Mom's shoulder... except maybe an occasional cry on Mom's shoulder... Wahhhhhhhh... But for now, it's zzzzzzzzzz...

Mom Me and an Apple Tree

Here's Me and Mom under the Apple Tree. Almost all the apples have been picked now, and the leaves should be falling off soon like a lot of the other trees around us.

Hello there...

And who can resist...

And this one...

Here's Luna!!!

Here is a succession of pictures where I get progressively cuter... Enjoy!

Hey, what's that???

The sun beamed down nice and warm. I sported my sun hat to keep me from squinting. They say it causes wrinkles ya know... Some flashy motion or sound or something has my attention right now.

Trick or Treat... Trick, of course.

My first Halloween. Actually, we kept it mellow. Dad worked, Mom made a really good soup for dinner, then when Dad got home, he built this scare crow, then we waited for the kids next door to get home to give them candy. Dad had these gross candy eyeballs for them. He put them up to his eyes then popped them out into there baskets. Gross Dad!!! This picture was taken a couple days later. It's a picture of Mom holding me and Dad and the scare crow. Dad is the one sitting down. Hahahahahahaha....

First Earthquake rocks Me at 5.6

This is Me and Mom just after my first earthquake. Our whole house rocked back and forth. My swing was swinging on it's own. The USGS reported 5.6 magnitude. Mom and Dad noticed a new small crack on the bedroom ceiling, but nothing fell or broke. All in all, it was pretty cool. Dad told me to say, "ROCK AND ROLL BABY!!!"

I'm starting to like my crib...

Maybe my crib's not so bad after all. I've got all this room to stretch out, It's a lot more comfortable than my Moses basket, and I feel safe knowing that my Anti-SIDS cover wraps my mattress. Most of all, as you can see, I sleep like a baby!!! Ahhhaahhhaaaahhhaaaaa...

Out in the back yard...

Here I'm out back in cozy clothes given to me by Grandma Z with Mom. I think these pants were Mom's when she was a little baby. What's Dad doing over there in the garden?

Look at Me...

Here is a close up of me while I'm just relaxing in my seat. I'm trying to figure out what Mom and Dad are talking about. It has too much adult stuff in it. But I recognize the part about I love you and We love you and stuff like that.

Hmmm... Greek Food.

This food has so many different smells. I like them all! I wonder if I'll taste it in Mom's milk? Probably not. But I think I smelled a lot of garlic, so my tummy should be feeling that by tomorrow. For now, I'm liking the good vibes and fun smells and listening to Mom and Dad saying over and over "ooooooo that was fantastic, ooooooo that one was so goooood!"

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Today was Mom's birthday (Grandma L has the same birthday as Mom; Happy Birthday Grandma!!!). We went to Mom's favorite Greek restaurant and had a good time. I mostly sat in my car seat on the table, but I usually am attached to Mom with the Moby wrap. She had her hands and chest free this time, and didn't have to worry about dripping food on my head. Thanks Mom!

Family Smiles

Here we all are on the side of the house, under a blossom tree, posing for the camera that Dad set up with the timer function and positioned so strategically (whatever this means; Dad told me to say all that). I had such a great visit with Dziadzi, Grandma, and Deanna, I only wish they stayed longer. I can't wait to see them again. I love them all so much.

Me Mom and Aunt Deanna

Deanna held me a lot too. She had a nice comfortable way about her. Mom and Dad said they want me to have the same interest in school that Aunt Deanna has. She actually did school work while she was visiting. She's really cool. I like my Aunt Deanna. She's got killer taste in shoes.

Grandma's got a hold of me

Grandma showed Mom and Dad this new hold. It's sort of a reverse football hold. I like it sooo much. A lot of times I'm gassy or just plain bored with the same old hold. This new one is cool like I'm flying and at the same time, it presses on my tummy so I feel good. Thanks Grandma.

Dziadzi and Me

Here I am so comfortable and safe, sleeping in the arms of Dziadzi. When I wasn't sleeping I was smiling or peacefully chillin in his arms.

Visit from G&G Zembrzuski and Deanna

The second Dziadzi (Grandpa for the non Polish folk in the crowd) came through the door, he snatched me up with a big smile and hugged me and hugged me and hugged me. Grandma (Babci for the Polish folk in the crowd) waited with excitement for her turn. From that second till they left, they took turns holding me with the same excitement and love as when they first saw me. They must really love me. I really love them.

Family Day at Loch Lomond...

Well, we didn't know that the Loch would be closed. Bummer! Still, the drive was nice. I decided not to cry much for Mom and Dad. Anyway, here we are parked and standing at the closed for season signed entrance. We used this time to change my diaper, fuel me with mommy milk (not to be confused with the workout protein mix, Mother's Milk), and enjoy the cooling fall evening air. Man, I sure wish the lake was open.

Family day at home...

This family day we stayed at home. We live in the woods, so it's always like we're somewhere cool. Here, I'm chillin in my Moses basket while Mom is crocheting and Dad is breaking from cutting wood to keep us warm this winter. I love Family days like this where we don't have to go any where and we just take it slow and easy at home with each other. Yep. I like it.

pre and post smile...

I think this picture reveals my intellectual side. It really conveys that I'm a deep thinker, but retain a sophisticated sense of humor. Certainly suitable for framing.

smile in action...

I like this action shot of me. My smile is kind of mysterious yet innocent, still while saying "hey aren't I adorable". Yeahhhhh, I'm Luna!

... and smile.

It's so cold right now that when Mom and Dad change me, they leave my warm clothes on up top. But my naked legs get to kick wild and naked and free...

Nothin left to do but smile, smile, smile...

I thought ya'll might like a few shots of my wonderful smile. As many of you know, the time I smile the most is when I'm being changed. What can I say, 40 whatever days ago I was born naked, and it feels the most natural to me. Today, it brings a smile, ear to ear, to my face.

Family day at the beach...

For Family day we went to the beach. Actually, this is my first trip down to the water. The water is already too cold for me to go in, so I'll have to wait till next season. I can't wait. Till then, I'll stay warm in Dad's arms. He says he loves me so much, he can just explode! Wow! He really loves me...

Pink? Oh well...

On this sunny afternoon I practiced my balance beam routine. Mom caught me right at the end... Just kidding, what ever you do, don't let me go Mom! Aren't my shoes slick. They're some baby fashion brand sent from Grandma L. Dad says the only pink I'm aloud to wear is punk rock pink. Mom says the only pink I'm aloud to wear is earthy pink. Somehow, these pants slid under the radar. I like em.

PASSED OUT!!!

Me and Mom are totally passed out here on the couch. Dad said he walked in on this lazy afternoon and found us lounging so comfortably. Ahhhh, I love sleeping. Mom and Dad say they love me sleeping too.

What a cool hike!

This Whispy long coastal grass (does anyone know the name of this?) has soft ends that would occasionally brush my face and make me giggle inside. Just past this point we crossed a seasonal bridge across Waddel Creek. Dad tried to shake it a bit while Mom and me were crossing. Mom stopped and turned midway and laughed at Dad's whimpy attempt to scare us. We saw so many interesting flowers and plants along the way. I love this hike.

...on to the Redwoods.

Here's Mom looking slick and hydrating up before our hike into Big Basin. Already I could feel the ancient and wonderful energy dancing with anticipation of our participation. Didn't know I knew fancy words like that did ya? I hoped to find a cool colorful poster of wildflowers or bugs or trees or something at the ranger station about a mile past the trail head, but Dad forgot his wallet (as usual).

Family Day on Cali Coast

Here's all of us. The beach sooths my soul. But so do the Redwoods. So, let's go!
